Please be aware that to complete the first cycle of doctoral studies, the doctoral students admitted in 2008 will have to pass an exam which will consist in presenting a research project. In this regard, we ask you to propose the committees in front of which to support the research project, in the period 01 - 10 October 2009. Committees will be formed by the PhD leader as President and two members of the department or speciality with the associate degree of minimum Associate Professor.The research project will be done in the Phd Leader's field of competence and will be prepared in accordance with the methodology appropriated in the first year of doctoral studies. The admitted doctoral students will pass into the second cycle of doctoral studies, respectively the real research stage and the preparation of the PhD thesis. The rejected doctoral candidates have the possibility of repeating the support of the improved project within 30 days, before the same committee. Doctoral candidates rejected after the second support of the project will not be able to access the real research phase of the cycle and respectively the doctoral thesis preparation and will be issued a certificate that will certify the successful completion of advanced academic studies, conducted during the first year of doctoral studies. The exam will take place from 15 to 30 October 2009. We enclose the official report model that will be completed by the commission, signed by committee members and brought to Rectorship of the UMF "Carol Davila" with the research project. |
