The Publishing House - Overview

"Carol Davila" academic Publishing House was founded in 1996, being the fruit of the affinities of thought and attitude of its founding members, teachers at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila", open to everything that's new and progress in the Romanian medicine and culture.

Throughout his work, the publisher has not abdicated from its thought to promote the "book value" whether it is about works in the field of medicine, for which it had a special affinity, including a wide range of books, courses, books, treaties, dictionaries but also works from other areas.
A separate place is occupied by the printing of magazines of high scientific value starting from the “Journal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine”, edited by Acad. L.M. Popescu and continuing today with the magazine "Journal of Medicine and Life" edited by Prof. Dr. Florian Popa, that makes its way into the European medical publishing landscape, representing propagation factors for the value of the Romanian medical school.
Equally, the House has struggled and managed that every book appearance has also an "added value" by the quality and special graphics incorporated.

Being closely related to the life and work of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila", the Publishing House has created itself a glory title by promoting the original Romanian medical literature, both through young doctors eager to assert themselves and the values enshrined in the Romanian medical school.
In conditions when the books request is subject to the continuous bombardment of information by electronic means and the thirst for knowledge through books has not diminished, "Carol Davila" academic Publishing House has managed and imposed by the standards it imposed proved to itself to form a consistent public reader, composed of both academics and medical professionals and students of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" and beyond.
The intense labor performed by the "Carol Davila" academic Publishing House is materialized in the editing and printing of over 700 titles from the beginning until now, including more than 200 only in the last three years.
